How does one make a brief blog statement that speaks to the crisis in Ferguson, MO? Given the 100s of years of injustice the black community has experienced in the US a crisis like the one we are feeling in Ferguson was/is inevitable. What can we say? How can we support? I think Berkeley pastor, Rev. Michael McBride’s tweet from 8/18/14 cuts to the core:
“as we walk street, being asked by young ppl why are so many preachers out? My answer: Because we love you” His answer “Fa real?”
Yeah, “Fa real!”
